Our Story

A Vehicle for Adventure
We solve the problems that stop great games from shipping. 200+ titles. 15 years. A crew built on reliability.
Why We Exist
In 2010, I kept seeing the same thing: brilliant artists pouring everything into work that never shipped. Projects cancelled. Teams disbanded. Good work lost to bad planning. That's why I started Airship.
Alone, I could model a character or two. With a crew who cared about the same things, quality and reliability, we could take on entire pipelines and guarantee the work would reach players. That's what we do. We handle the hard problems so studios can focus on making the game.
Fifteen years later, that's exactly what we've done. 200+ shipped titles. Our artists average 10+ credits in their first year with us. Not promises stuck in development. Shipped games that people are playing right now.
"Keep learning, keep building, keep growing, everyone. Our clients, our crew, and the games we ship together. That's what gets me out of bed."
"Stay curious, stay honest, and don't avoid difficult conversations. Build with intention, support your people, and make decisions you can stand by."
Our Leadership and Beliefs
The principles that guide us. The people who uphold them.
Beauty in Every Detail
Players feel the difference. The quality of the work is what separates good games from great ones, and we hold ourselves to the same standard our clients do.
Develop Brilliant People
We don't just find talent, we grow it. Our crew thrives in environments built for creative risk-taking, mastery, and producing the best work of their careers.
Ship Reliably, Always
Studios trust us because we solve problems and deliver. On time. On quality. Every time. Your deadlines are our deadlines.

Joe Harford
Founder & CEO
Joe spent six years at Ubisoft and Crytek before founding Airship in 2010. He built the company around one idea: assemble great artists, develop them into reliable production crews, and deliver work that actually ships. Today that's 200+ titles with partners including EA, Ubisoft, Larian Studios, and Bethesda.
"Keep learning, keep trying, keep failing, keep moving forward. Sample everything. Do exceptional work with reliability, stability, and integrity."

Dawn of War 4
Our partnership with King Art on the upcoming Dawn of War 4 represents everything we believe in. We've contributed the majority of character and environment artwork, working alongside a team that cares about the work as much as we do.
Through the challenging times our industry has faced, this team has shown remarkable resilience and dedication. Watching them push through, support each other, and deliver exceptional work has been genuinely humbling.
